How to get to Obertilliach

Cosy world, not out of this world

It is not seldom that our guests tell us how good they can recreate in our peaceful environment. Like a paradise, far away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. This is why they don’t hesitate to travel a little bit longer. After all, the village of Obertilliach, in the idyllic Lesachtal Valley, can really be called an ideal world. Choose eco-friendly travel by train

If you choose to travel by train, the next train station is located in Tassenbach (15 minutes) or Sillian (20 minutes) or Lienz (35 minutes).

To get to Lienz by train, there are different possibilities, depending on where you start. Here is an example of a train connection from Vienna to Lienz:
1. Take a train from Vienna to Spittal-Millstättersee. The trains run regularly, and the journey will take you 2 hours and 30 minutes.
2. Change trains in Spittal-Millstättersee and take a train to Lienz. Trains also run regularly, taking about 1 hour and 30 minutes.

We recommend checking the exact times and connections before you start your journey, as they are subject to changes. Check the Österreichische Bundesbahnen website (ÖBB) or use the mobile app ÖBB Scotty.

From Berlin to Innsbruck, you can travel cheaply, comfortably and without traffic jams with the offers of Deutsche Bahn.

Let the train journey become part of your holidays

Beat the traffic, the jams and the bored kids! Travelling by train instead of car can be so comfortable that you can let the holiday begin already during your journey. You don't have to concentrate on the road, you can focus on your children, who want to be entertained during long trips.

Saving luggage made easy

Are you reluctant to take the train because of all the bags and suitcases? Rest assured that we can offer you a big selection of equipment for babies and toddlers, e.g. buggies for rent. And some worries about bulky luggage disappear into thin air. We want to make it as easy as possible for you and put our heart and soul into it.

Shuttle service

We can also organise a transfer to and from the airport/railway station for you (for a fee).
Our first point of contact for shuttle services is Bodner, who can be contacted at 0043 664 7371 8553.

Tip: Travel at night when the children sleep and get an additional vacation day with Early Check-in and Late Check-out.
