The first contact with happy animals takes place at the Almfamilyhotel Scherer with its mini farm. Besides rabbits, goats and sheep the “staff” also includes two ponies in the summer. They are called Lukas and Lissi and will be happy to take you pony riding (possible every day). Day after day we can see how positive the contact to animals is for our guests. Just as the saying goes: Animals are a mirror of the soul.
Riding holidays & first contact with horses for children and adults
Those who have tasted blood after pony riding and just want more can turn their stay into a riding holiday. In our close vicinity you can find the riding stable Andreas. We will be happy to organise horse rides for our guests. Obertilliach is really the right place for a ride since it is lined by mountain meadows and forests and nearly undisturbed by traffic.
Riding in the riding stable in the Lesachtal
The Lesachtal horse ranch is also a great opportunity: Only fifteen minutes from the Almfamilyhotel Scherer, horses for riding will await you. All horses on this farm have been broken in western style, are calm, people-oriented, easy to ride and absolutely sure-footed in any terrain. Rides can be organised in small groups or individually on request. Professionally trained guides will ensure that everything runs smoothly. In the Lesachtal, which is even more pristine than other Alpine valleys, riders and horses feel completely in their element.
