The weather in the valley of Gailtal can sometimes turn a bit rough. The courageous venture out regardless, but it’s good to know that you can also be active without leaving the Almfamilyhotel. One option is the Waterworld around our swimming pool but the Almfamilyhotel also has a gym with weights, a treadmill and a cross-trainer. Family members who would like to show their competitive side can also enjoy a match of table tennis or table football in our games room.
Our climbing wall is quite remarkable. Two storeys high, it has been integrated into the exterior wall of the main building and is weatherproof thanks to a protective glass cover. Climbing the wall - secured by ropes - in view of the sheer rockfaces of the Carnic Alps is a truly remarkable experience. It is also a good preparation for the five via ferratas close to Obertilliach.
At the Almfamilyhotel Scherer children can satisfy their need for exercise in all weather conditions and temperatures.
