The Almfamilyhotel Scherer in Osttirol couldn’t be a better place for a holiday for all generations as it has something for everyone, from the youngest to the oldest family member. Situated at an altitude of 1,450 metres, the family hotel leaves nothing to be desired when it comes to indulgence and children’s offers. Starting with the baby and child care to the new teens lounge, all age groups will get their money’s worth. The grown-ups look forward to the spa – you can also take your kids there – and the excursions and activities will guarantee great experiences.
Child care
6 days a week
Our baby room is the feelgood place for the littlest ones. The room is open at all times outside the baby care hours (Sunday – Friday, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.) and will invite you to stay. It provides several amenities, such as Swiss pine beds, a baby swing, a bouncer, slides, cuddle corners and wooden dexterity toys. Buggies, baby carriers and baby slings can be borrowed for free at the hotel for your activities in and around Obertilliach. Our baby bar will delight the little ones’ palates with meat, vegetable and fruit preparations, and pap.
Action, adventure, discoveries
The older children can romp around in the numerous wooden play areas. Our large adventure playground in the hotel garden, the large fleet of bikes, bicycles, etc., is perfect for little pilots. Indoors, the 7-metre-high climbing wall is perfect for all generations. While grandma and grandpa make themselves at home in the alpine lounge, they can watch the little ones building and digging in the indoor mud room with a water pump.
Teens lounge and Almfamily farm
In the new teens lounge, youngsters will find various casual games. Exciting battles will take place at the double mini bowling alley, the air hockey table, the dartboard, the pool table, table football and also at the PlayStation. Cosy seating areas and couches offer plenty of space to chill out.
In the hotel’s own farm (open all year round), young and old alike enjoy spending time. The rabbits, kittens, sheep, chickens and guinea pigs are lovingly stroked and pampered. The highlight of all animal encounters is pony riding in the summer months.
Almfamily culinary for young and old gourmets
Every day of your family holiday, you will be spoilt with regional specialities from the Almfamily culinary offer. Early in the morning, you can enjoy our delicious East Tyrolean breakfast. The children will love Himbeergolli’s breakfast tips, where they can help make fresh donuts, waffles and crêpes. At lunchtime, the warming soup of the day and the vitamin-packed salad buffet will satisfy your appetite. The kids can enjoy daily changing lunch dishes. In the afternoon, the aroma of freshly baked pastries will beckon you to our alpine lounge for “Marende”. Here we will spoil you with cakes, regional delicacies, seasonal classics, and a wide selection of hot drinks. For the evening gourmet menu, you can choose between a family meal or a romantic dinner for two. Depending on whether your grandchildren want to dine with you or the kids club.

In the pool area with a triple slide, the grandchildren splash around with a view of the mountains.
